Elder Justin Parvu of Romania was a major figure of the Orthodox Church in Romania during the 20th and the beginning of the 21st centuries. In 1936 he entered the monastic life at the Durau Monastery and later on he was ordained into the holy priesthood. Elder Justin Parvu served 16 years in prison for his faith, due to communist persecution. He later founded the Monastery of Petru Voda, where he lived the rest of his life; serving as a spiritual father to thousands of people.
