Saint Arsenius the Great was born in Rome in the year 350 AD to pious parents. During his youth Saint Arsenius was well educated, and his love for God lead to him being ordained as a deacon at an older age. Arsenius served as a tutor to the Byzantine Emperor’s sons for many years until he was forced to flee for fear of his life. He spent the remainder of his life in the wilderness of Alexandria, praising and glorifying God. Saint Arsenius pray for us!
