Wonderful music, seems to come to the sky, nice images combining the music, thank's for sharing!!!
I LOVE IT
Красиво!
@Metalicalypse Ofcourse it sounds like that if you listen to that destructive and unclean music you call metal!
@Metalicalypse Oh why thank you. But that's the teaching of the Eastern Orthodox church.
In ICXC,
Krzysztof.
Ofcourse it is.
What do you think did Christians do during the persecution?
It is devil music, it is very unclean that is correct
I love this kind of music AND I adore metal. If you really think another genre of music is inferior to another to where you call it "unclean", there's not much I can say for you.
It does not really matter if you adore this music. That does not change the fact that the religion this chant is from considers metal to be wrong. Of course you cannot understand this because you are not Orthodox.
I was raised Orthodox, and their narrow views on music are one of the reasons I gave Orthodox Catholicism up. This isn't the place for me to pine about whether metal is better, but I will say it's still pretty stupid to let one's faith dictate what music they listen to.
For the love of the Theotokos, enough with the metal comments! Seriously- we're not hearing metal, we're hearing Orthodoox chant.

Wow man.. out of all the comments i expected that was no where on my list. Please show some respect for this ancient hymn, it is full of awe, submission, and reverence towards Christ. it's words are gold and the hymn's tune is harmonic and pure. It is truly amazing. You should never use the word "pussy" to describe someone chanting to the Lord regardless of your opinion of the sounds you hear.
Not judging brother. i never mentioned anything concerning me being any better than you, if a mother warns a child for playing with fire she's not judging but rebuking. I would laugh if the joke was appropriate Metalicalypse… your joke may have been funny if not directed at a church hymn, similarly if i was at a funeral of someone's dead mother and i laughed and said that coffin design is gay, i may not be insulting the dead person herself yet the setting isn't appropriate regardless.
Hey! Great song! Can we get more from this particular group?? Do they have any more that the speak directly to either the Father, Son, or Holy Spirit SPECIFICALLY…..and any song in English like this one?!
Christos Anesti! Blessings to all Orthodox Christians everywhere. I added this to my Orthodox video playlist. When I go to the gym and I run on the treadmill, I look at my phone and listen to my headphones. To the metal guy, I'm sorry that you don't understand why the church doesn't like your music but perhaps someday you'll understand. God bless you anyways.
Wow I guess my phone does not like apostrophes, lol.
as for the metal debate going on here, i'll say this: it is the auditory icon of cultural pluralisation, the world burning in a melting pot. its everything all at once, the original influences long gone, with the main objective being instant, temporary satisfaction. i listened to some metal today. it was cool. but its like chinese food. or candy. it either leaves you hungry, or feeling bloated yet empty. chanting is like a hearty, healthy meal. it might not be palatable to the candy lover, but it is very filling.
Church music is Churh music. I love holy reverence, fear, respect, awe, in Church music. All other music has elements of worldliness and the flesh in it. Church music has been purified over time into something beautiful. Rock n roll, pop, blues, are an expression of that artists tastes and emotions. Outside of the Churh it is between me and God. Let God be the judge outside the church. But inside the Chuch let it be pure and holy. There is one church one faith one baptism. Authentic Christian music is a treasure that should be kept close to our hearts. When the light of God shines into the dark corners of your heart and mind don't turn away. Recieve Him. Then you can discern between Holy and unholy things. Don't allow anyone but your Curch father to give you direction in these matters because of mass confusion and heresy on youtube and the internet. Holy things are for the holy. Casting our pearls into the mud to be trampled upon is a waste of precious time and energy. Lord have mercy.
Am I the only one who is confused here? The church doesn’t consider metal music to be “unclean” or “wrong”. The church considers any music that has themes of worldly lusts bad. So I could say any genre is bad if I generalize it to be so. There are some great metal music, and no I won’t stop listening to it because you think it’s bad. My church knows I listen to rock and some metal, and they don’t tell me it’s bad. Because they realize that a genre can’t be bad, it’s the individual song.
