10. The religious stuff is very appropriate for this percussion rhythem. The toaca is a 4 foot wooden board beaten on by two mallets and is used in Orthodox monesteries to call the monks to prayer. It started it's use in the 6th century and predates the use of bells. This wooden board is used as a replacement for the tooting of horns which was what was initialy used in the calls to prayers.
