This timely treatise addresses current issues in the Orthodox Church, including Coronavirus, closure of churches, methods of receiving the Mystery of Holy Communion, the inability of disease to pass to the recipient of Holy Communion, and the Church’s weakness and need to repent and be strengthened before the coming of Antichrist. I recorded this because I believe it will stand the test of time and be a source of hope and courage for the Faithful. #Covid-19 #Orthodox #Communion

Glory to God! Once again, Orthodox Ethos provides a soothing salve for our wounds. This is much more than a response to the current situation. It is an apologia for Orthodox phronema. In this rather short work, an entire catechism of true Christian teaching is offered. What a wonderful gift to the Church. I am going to print it, make copies for distribution, and use it as primary reference material, it's that good! Reminds me of Fr. John Romanides of blessed memory.
Enjoyed this!incredible
Incredible icon for the video and such sorely needed pastoral wisdom for these times. Glory to Jesus Christ!
Thank you.
Is it possible to get the text of this wonderful gift ? Easier to understand for a non english speaker to read than to ear. Thank you if you can help.
Well said Fr Gregorios! Well said!
Wearing masks is to lack faith in the providence of God's care. We claim with our lips '' making the change into his precious body, and making the change into his precious blood.'' yet with those same lips we cover our face in fear! We say liturgy is where heaven and earth meet, we don't really believe that do we? When we are afraid to greet our heavenly brothers and sisters the apostles and angels. We cover our face before them! Truly how can we say we believe that bread and wine turn into christ body and blood yet we fear for the loss of this life! We have no real faith in our churches we have replaced faith with repetition and tradition. Yet tradition is dead without faith. Why must I an adulterer, a fornicator, a murderer, a vile creature in every respect be the one to seem more orthodox than those that are more innocent than I. What is wrong with our churches that a sinner like me must say such things. This should be common knowledge and common faith among orthodox Christians. If God is calling me a sinner to speak truth surely the faithful have become faithless. I'm the worst among sinners at least that among my local parish! I don't claim to be holy righteous or perfect. I'm quite the opposite and very unorthodox orthodox. Yet I plead with those that are changing the fabric of the church because the medicine needed for a sinner like me must be potent strong and without compromise or watering down! I am not giving up a life of sin for some half hearted dose of a moral organization and medicinal tradition without actual faith . If I am to repent and repent well I need every ounce of true orthodoxy to rid this cancer of sin deeply rooted within me. What good does it do me to be part of a church who administers less than perfect doses of Christ healing powers because of the lack of faith. Why must I a sinner speak such things it is those faithful who have attended church their entire life that should be ministering to me!
