An in-depth round-table discussion about the theological essay titled, “The Cure of the Neurobiological Sickness of Religion.”. Although we acknowledge the Orthodoxy of this excellent essay and other of his great contributions we do not endorse the author John Romanides – a clergyman who officially represented Ecumenist jurisdictions at the syncretistic World Council of Churches, and even signed the infamous “Chambésy Statement”. He authored articles openly calling ‘Orthodox’ those whom the Church has anathematized as heretics. We reject any un-Orthodox actions and statements of his, and while a certain essay of his is examined in this program, we do not endorse all his writings, ideals, or actions in toto.
Your church is the sickest and most neurotic of them all. You have a thousand rules and burdens which Christ never even gave. And the GOC in particular is so contradictory and hypocritical, exhibiting neurosis and sickness of it's leaders.
Thank God for this video and for its contributors!
My mind has been blown.
As a fledgling history major with an interest in Medieval history, I am completely speechless on the truth that has been revealed to me.
It all makes sense though, the 'Great Schism' is simply western propoganda to hide the reality of the past. Feudalism was certainly the result of indoctrination and crowd control. It is a no wonder why most of the world condemns Christianity as being anti-Semitic, bigoted, and etc.
As a new catechumen in the Orthodox Church this has only strengthened my resolve to continue the path I am on.
God bless you and this channel. Thank you.
I'm so thankful for this channel, Bishop Christodoulos.
I just don't understand how Christianity is supposed to be therapeutic. Jesus said most are going to hell. He talks about it often. Paul gives a list of offences for which people will go to hell in Cor I. Many are so depressed by this that they want nothing to do with Christianity.
And why would God allow such a mass deception in the first place? Why does one have to be a religious scholar and historian to know what Jesus was talking about? There is something very wrong.
Wonderful video BTW.
Orthodoxy IS THE Religion not A religion.
"Pure RELIGION and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." [James 1:27]
