Many, many thanks to reader Andrew Temple for providing us with his wonderful voice for a sub par joke! Also, please remember the grandfather of my friend, Jim, who's been diagnosed with cancer.
Future clips, in no particular order:

The Offering of Lot's Daughters (Bible Interpreted, new series!)
"The Crucifixion" Movie Review (Pencils & Prayer Ropes)
Wow wow wow, are we talking about Jesus's genes now. For if so, he should be a she, and should be a clone of Marry
To negate Mary as the mother of God, like people usually do by saying that she is "just the mother of the man, Jesus" is the Theological equivalent to negate the hipostatic union of the Person of Word. Is to negate that Jesus is the Christ.
Mary is very important
To all Protestants out there, what is your opinion on Rev 12:1-2? Who is this woman? Just want to know. I’m not starting anything.
Mary, 1.Mary you have found favor with God. 2. You will be overshadowed by the Holy Spirit and conceive. 3. The child in your womb is the Son of God. So, Protestants be educated, Mary is worthy
of all the honor and veneration we can provide! Amen
Thank you thank you thank you! I never understood this with protestants all around but now it's so clear!! Are you a priest? I think you said that in one of your videos… can't remember if it's your April fools one?
The Virgin Mary's called "Most Holy" because God the Father made her that way by our Lord, God, and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Are you serious? You believe that Mary is the mother of God? Sorry man that cannot be. First of all God has no mother or father. God manifested into a God Man and because God chose Mary a virgin to be Jesus’s mother doesn’t make her a Mother of God. She was a sinner just like we all are
I love the Theothokos and to deny the Theothokos as the mother of God is a big sin.
I guess no one discount Mary holiness, but there are movements to upgrade her further. That is what worries e rest.
Let me remind you that "Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost" (Luke 1, 41) prior to calling Mary "mother of my Lord" (Luke 1, 43). So… those who can not call her Theotokos, should think deeply what happened with their relationship with the Holy Ghost. If they are filled with Him, why can't they repeat the same calling Elisabeth did?!? I will let you think about other possibility. ;o)
When I was traveling to Germany by train I met a German granny who is also a protestant and I asked her about her view on the Theotokos and she answered "Us protestants worship Jesus more than Mary. We do know that she is the Mother of God though but the Christ is far more important". I do say that I disagree with her but I have accepted her beliefs because…… "Love thy neighbor…."
Talk about a mic drop at the end. Great point.
Idol worship. Sighing and making assumptions doesn’t change that.
Can you have a video on saint joseph
Okay the church calls Mary the Virgin Mary but does not believe in Immaculate Conception. I don't understand this difference.
I'm a protestant and I do think Mary is a wonderful woman, deserving the same respect that the prophets had (maybe even more), but I don't think she's sinless. Jesus was sinless because He was God made flesh, He had infinite wisdom and knew everything that would happen before it happened. Mary, however, is not God in the flesh, therefore she doesn't have infinite wisdom.
I do not deny she was a holy woman who loved God and tried her best to follow Him, but remember that even people like Job and Noah (people referred to as some of God's most righteous followers) did sin in the scriptures. (Job said many incorrect things about God and Noah drank wine.)
I don't believe there's enough evidence in the scriptures to suggest Mary was sinless, and I don't see how a human born of Adam and Eve could possibly live up to the standard of God. However, I do not say this makes Orthodox and Catholics "heretics" or "idol worshipers," like some protestants mistakenly do. I have great respect for you and your denomination, and I firmly believe you will see the Kingdom of God.
Grant it, the Scriptures never say she was a sinner, and my mind is open to the idea of her being sinless, but the Scriptures don't say she was sinless either. I still have great respect for her, as I do all prophets of God. She was the one the Lord chose to carry the Messiah, and that is an honor few others could have. There is no doubt Mary deserves great respect, but either way, we both believe God is greater than her, and Jesus is the One we worship.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Ok, my thick Protestant Mind I think I Got it. If you love Christ you have to love his Mother because Christ is apart of his Mother, And we are apart of Christ also in Union with Him so we are part of Christ's Mother as well. Did I get it?
I mean God forbid a women get credit for anything. No one will ever be able to convince me the Mary hate doesn't stem from misogyny.
Protestants do not deny that Mary is unique and special, most blessed among women, and the mother of God incarnate. We just think that focus should be more on the Trinity than on Mary and from our perspective both Orthodox and Catholic flip this. Also we don't understand why you say she is without sin. If anyone can explain why this is believed please do.
Once upon a time I was Protestant. I was blind to these facts. I’m so happy to be Orthodox now and honor her as she rightly deserves.
I love to chant the Axion Estine. Fills my heart with joy!
Hail Mary 🙏
Well… yeah.. I don't really think she's important.. Christ is the Man God, Mary was an undefiled host, and even the Gospels and Christ don't revere her like the Catholics or Eastern Church does… Lets look at the first Gospel written, Mark, and see how Jesus treats Mary.
Then Jesus’ mother and brothers came and stood outside. They sent someone in to summon Him, and a crowd was sitting around Him. “Look,” He was told, “Your mother and brothers are outside, asking for You.”
But Jesus replied, “Who are My mother and My brothers?” Looking at those seated in a circle around Him, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God is My brother and sister and mother.”
Mark 3:31-35
Well, that's a lack of respect, to have no acknowledgement of your mother when she comes looking for you.. to just go back to your teachings and equate your students with their value.. So apparently, if you do the will of God, you're on equal footing as his mother..
And lets see what the last Gospel, John, sees Christ views Mary.
On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and His disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to Him, “They have no more wine.”
“Woman, why does this concern us?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever He tells you.”
John 2:1-5
So, It seems the Catholics/Orthodox church esteems Mary higher than Christ does.. in Mark, he ignores the "Mother of God" when she's looking for him, in John he doesn't even call her "Mother", but "women"… I've never called my mother "women"… But Christ does.. These verses alone show that Catholics/orthodox church hold Mary in higher esteem than Christ does.
But….. was Mary just a woman. Jesus called her woman, not mother or queen
Ive literally read gotquestions.org deny Mary is the Mother of God.
If Mary isnt the Mother of God, then who the hell did she gave birth to?
Who the hell did she raised?
Who and What is Jesus then?
If Jesus isnt God, then wth happened?
She was His first impression of humanity. So grateful she showed Him it was worth saving. Only a mother could do that. Only the Mother of our Lord could do it and then give Him to us. What a Love! 💕
Honestly, the more i look at the essence of Orthdoxy, the more my soul seems to draw to to it. Even within this explination of a typical taboo to those who protest the rome, there is a sweeter essence that feels… right.
The main reason for Protestant being so anti-mary and anti-saint is due to the culture of the western chruches infatuation of legalities. The Roman Catholics seem to hold her is a very… cultish reguard. Our lady this, our lady that, lets say the Rosary a few million times and parade satures of her everywhere we go. So, of course, if your protesting something or someone who does that it makes logical sense to be against it. Regretfully, theres a lot that gets lost in that process…
However, in the east, it seems like the larger focus of that which is the spirt of the law over the technacal letter of the law has been… something thats refreshing. Like a perfect balance, in a general sense.
So thank you 😁
I lost it at the literal long English translation of 'Thetotokos'!
Also, "The Bible is clear." THIS.
