But just before i conclude saying the Holy Rosary, I would call upon the name Saint George and say, "Saint George, pray for us. Amen." And yet whenever i face any temptation that Satan throws at me, I ask for the intercession Saint George. Then Satan becomes powerless and flees.

16. What a load of cobblers, George was detested by the people of Alexandria. He was so detested that they murdered him in 361 for his avarice, ungraciousness and unnatural habits. Not only did they murder him he and his aides were dragged through the streets, burned and then the remains were thrown into the sea lest the remains were venerated as relics. Not a nice guy by all accounts which leads one to wonder what the agenda of theses priests might be, would it be just ignorance or maybe to flatter one of their saints or most likely just plain disingenuous. Judging from the comments the evangelism appears to be working.

21. It's so hypocritical to see St. George finally revealed by the G.O. Church in America after more than 100 years of Church presence in America. Nobody preached much about him in my 28 years in the G.O. Church, and absolutely nobody in the Roman Catholic Church put much about him in their hagiographies, either. Ungrateful, slow to witness Chuch! It serves to show how people will finally repent and do what was supposed to be done as the End Times approach. Heavenly Father I thank you that I am still Orthodox despite the wicked worldly and political approaches to religion that Greek Orthodoxy in America has promoted and I thank you that they are slowly coming out of the age of AHEPA cameraderie and into the dawn of real, Early Church type salvation. May you continue to deliver them from their worldly ways and teach them to never horde salvation all to themselves or follow false Patriarchs ever again no matter how much colaboration goes on between Istanbul and Vatican City.
