In the 11th episode of the “Orthodox Icons Explained” series, Fr. John explains the icon of the Dormition of the Mother of God. The Feast of the Dormition of Our Most Holy Lady, the Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary is celebrated on August 15 each year. The Feast commemorates the repose of the Mother of Jesus Christ and the translation or assumption into heaven of the body of the Theotokos.

Thank you for a very interesting talk.
I am aware that the soul leaves the body yet in the Heavenly sphere,it still retains its body i. e. the "Heavenly body"
The physical body is cast off and heavenly body "is".
At the shrine of Saint Bernadette (previously visited often by Our Lady of Lourdes), Saint Bernadette's physical body is intact and free from corruption. This can be seen at her shrine in Nevers in France.
While I was praying there during a pilgrimage on behalf of the Benedictines' (London and Scotland), Saint Bernadette appeared in front of her coffin in her "heavenly body" even although her physical body lay behind her to the side, as she stood in front of her coffin! I have to admit that to others she was "invisible!" Although I saw her I have to admit that she is still invisible!
God is amazing and I was just thinking that we experience the "foretaste" of the "divine" as we become partakers of the Holy Catholic Mass through the sharing of Jesus:the most Holy Eucharist: Holy Communion. I hope that you understand me.
I hope that also helps.
There really is a continuous yet different life afte we complete the journey on earth.
Life everlasting gauranteed!
God Bless, Love, Guide and Protect you, yours and all.
Thank you!
Glory to God in the Highest.
Amen 😘💖😘

Your 'elders' are old LIARS!
Now let's tell you a story about a man called Jesus:
A god assaulted, by a proxy angel ?
inseminated a 'virgin' named Mary,
in order to bring his son incarnate into our world.
A cowardly and disgusting action… by any god…! (typical of the men who invented these gods)
Mary and her cuckolded fiance ?,
….Joseph, had to travel to Bethlehem to register for the census.
There Mary gave birth to an illegitimate son of a 'god' ?
Oh Wow…!

I am Catholic and there is much to be learned from Orthodox theology. I truly appreciate such videos.
Douay-Rheims Bible
Take heed diligently lest thou forget the Lord, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and shalt serve him only, and thou shalt swear by his name.
NO ONE ELSE !
