May God bless you for these videos. Thank you. 🙏🏻❤
Abbot Damascene told me recently that they are actively working on reprinting His Life and Works, as well as a couple other Fr. Seraphim books: Genesis, Creation, and Early Man as well as Orthodox Survival Course
"Hit the wall of Mystery."
Perfect description.
Thanks for sharing those quotes from later on in Fr. Seraphim Rose's life. I haven't really read anything from him other than some assorted quotes I've come across here and there. I've been a little skittish primarily because of some observations I've made of some online who are all about him. There often seems to be a segmented attention to his writings above others and a strong zeal that can be a bit…abrasive. I'm guessing they've only largely read his early stuff if what you shared here is more reflective of his journey later on in life. What would you recommend as an intro work by him to check out that perhaps is a bit more mainstream?
Nice to see a more sane approach.Russian orthodox generally undecided.
Reading Orthodoxy and The Religion of the Future" convinced me to make the move to Orthodoxy, because of the lack of discernment in the traditions that I grew up within Protestantism. I have been surprised how controversial Father Serepham is in Orthodoxy, so not sure what to do with Father Seraphim or where I can safely mention him. It is too bad everything I have read by him has really motivated me spiritually.
