Though the intercession of St. Justin Popovich, have mercy on us and save us, O God.
Let us honor with splendor the divinely inspired theologian, the wise
Serb Justin, who by the scythe of the Holy Spirit hath thrashed the
error of atheism and the insolence of the Latins, being a mystic of the
God-man and lover of piety, crying out: Glory to Christ Who hath
glorified thee, glory to Him Who hath crowned thee, glory to Him Who
hath rendered thee a luminary to those who are in a state of darkness.
Pray for us sinners, O saint of God!
When I was young, I almost joined the US army because of all the financial benefits, but two days before I was to meet with the recruiter, Clinton started bombing Serbia. I never went to that appointment. I never loved the US government, but beginning in 1999, I've prayed for it's destruction. I don't see how any Orthodox Christian can participate in the US military. I don't judge them, but I just can't understand.

I am a recent convert to Orthodoxy and took Justin's name. Piety, scholarship, humility, a true modern saint in a secular modernity. St Justin, pray for us!
