Thanks Fr. for this video.
Thank you Father! Please pray me me too
Never heard it explained quite like it, thank you Father ☦️
They were clothed with perfection! Yet so many Christians still want to believe they had physical sexual interaction as we know it in our fallen state. My theory is that they would have conceived supernaturally like Blessed Miriam——, they may have consummated from perfect marital Edenic interaction (without blood, pain, lust, or fear)
Nonsense. None of the Fathers were there, and they have no idea what the state of Adam and Eve was before the fall (of course they were innocent, but not necessarily celibate, since they were husband and wife, imo-"the marriage bed is pure and undefiled among all"-St. Paul), nor do they know what the animals thought or did. It's all speculation.
A wonderful video, Father. I wish I could scan your library.
TY Father, I continue to pray for you and all the Orthodox believers there. I especially enjoy the Synaxarion on your PNP website. As a catechumen, there's so much I have to learn regarding those who have gone before and given themselves as Holy Martyrs for Christ.
Thank you very much father Josiah.
Your videos Fr.Trehnam are so precious.Thank you and God bless you.
Forgive me father but in your comments on the virginity of Adam and Eve you err. There is nothing from the text of Genesis to suggest that Adam and Eve were Celibate and every reason to believe that they had, or at least were capable of having, physical sexual intercourse as we do now, only without sin, selfishness, pain, or physical corruption. The position you and the Fathers espouse is borne out of a deeply erroneous anti-sexual hyperasceticism which itself has roots in Gnosticism and Neoplatonism, not in scripture. It is one of the few areas where the Holy fathers err egregiously. The word of God is plain- Sex is a good and holy gift from God; it is not sinful, nor corrupt, nor evil, nor is it a result of the fall.
It is a little bit disappointing to hear you rightly critique Roman Catholicism for their unhealthy view of sexuality (
only to fall into a variation of the exact same error.
Such a beautiful teaching. Thank you and God bless.
