In the Parable of the Sower, we hear of the great opportunity from God that allows us to do the work needed for our heart to the word of God and help it take root in our heart. Whether our hearts are the road, the rocks, the thorns, or the good fertile soil, it will take constant attention and effort for us to keep our hearts rich and fertile for God’s word.
Like feeding our body several times a day, our soul needs prayers several times a day, in order to sustain us in heaven. In the past year I've followed the one year plan to read the Bible (Old and New testaments) the best year of my life!!! I have the hard copy of the Orthodox Study Bible, but I downloaded it from the App Store on my iPad and iPhone. It's so easy and convenient to follow. I very very very strongly recommend it.
