In this first of a four part sermon series on Generosity, Fr. Nicholas Louh begins by defining the term as “the act or the willingness to give to others.” We all love being on the receiving end of generosity. He relates an anecdote in which he observed a gesture of extraordinary generosity. God loves it when we are ourselves a generous giver. Among a number of important words, such as believe and love, the word “give” is far and away more present in the Scriptures. He explores how Christians are called to share from their wealth to respond to the needs of the less fortunate.
