. From what l know, M. Luther was not harsh concerning the Orthodox; and even his assistant was clearly in agreement with the Orthodox. Nevertheless they took the baby out of the bathwater and reinterpreted certain aspects of the scriptures ; and in doing so got rid of a few early centuries here and there. Nevertheless, he based his views totally on the scriptures, Sola scriptura. which ironically were more or less written in Greek by the eastern father's along with a few disciples of Jesus. Who better to decipher the Greek writings than the Greeks themselves, NOT a bitter catholic monk who regardless of his correct observations of what he witnessed, should've differentiated the fact that the eastern apostolic father's never ever subscribed to many of the things he accused from the Roman Catholics.
