That was well said and well done. Thank you.
Very good. Christianity…The True Philosophy. Good words of St. Justin Martyr. As an aside note, saw the idea of Satre embodied in the Simon and Garfunkle song "I Am An Island". So thankful that Christ our God came and restored our relationship with Himself and other humans so we no longer have to believe that he'll is other people. God give us Grace to live out that Good News and share it with other people.
Excellent had me right up to the end. Very skeptical on modern philosophers or academics trying to more completely expound on Orthodox teachings "sufficiently and in the right ways." This is what other "christian" faiths do to help people better understand faith and usual falsely believe they have much of value to add but ultimately seem to torture faith in to a dead intellectual struggle. Interested in seeing the whole interview.
Excellent insight from Dr Bradshaw, I thank you for taking the time to offer us such informative videos.
Does anyone know which lecture of Sartre’s was referenced?
Great interview
Desperately needed this talk. Appreciated this.
I want more, please. Part 2.
Excellent introduction. Challenging, thought provoking, and illuminating.
It was refreshing to hear an Orthodox scholar state openly that it is our philosophy which can provide what is missing in other philosophies rather than the Church somehow needing these other philosophies to teach her.
I dont like seeing those Bart Ehrman books on the book shelf; dude is a smart-alec heretic. must to avoid!
The anti-philosophy and fideism of protestantism was the temptation to refuse Christ that I succumbed to until I was 28. Maybe it was just me. But if Bradshaw had represented something dominant in our culture I would have had no excuse. The fact that orthodoxy has a reputation of anti-intellectualism almost sent me away a second time. But it turned out Palamas my baptismal saint and saints like Dionysius had the one true love of wisdom. Glory to God.
Very enjoyable to listen to this Dr – his explanations are so grounded in Truth and understanding! Thankyou & God bless!
Fine talk. (Think I see my little book squeezed in next to Andrew Louth's JD book. Don't burst my illusion if I'm wrong!)
