TY Father, I frequently pick up things when I watch these videos that I missed during the service. I guess the old axiom is true….repetition is the key to learning.
Hi. I am an evangelical Christian but drawn to Orthodoxy. I was a Jehovah's Witness and experienced a profound conversion to Christianity 10 years ago after praying to God alone in my bedroom. I assumed this was being 'born again' and it led me on a difficult journey out of the JW cult. After plucking up the courage, I started attending an evangelical church, thinking that it was the church of choice due to their emphasis on new birth. However, my experience of traditional evangelicalism hasn't matched the mystery and wonder of my conversion. Also, it seems to me that my conversion wasn't new birth after all because the Church Fathers say that new birth takes place at baptism. Having looked at all the so-called Christian denominations, I find that Orthodoxy resonates with me. Please would you pray for me. Also, I struggle with the passions and need prayer.
Why is the Eastern Orthodox church better than the Roman Catholic church if I may ask?
I cry out in prayer to God for grace and He is gracious and gives me all I need (Hebrews 4:16, 2 Corinthians 12:9). Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
