Orthodox Wisdom
Thank you for taking the time to record! I want to share the following possibilities:. St John of Damascus: An Exact Exposition of the Orthodox Faith; The Ladder of Divine Ascent, The Way of a Pilgrim; The Pilokalia (in sections or in it's totality).
Thank you . I'm disappointed that you had to remove elder Thaddeus teachings. I understand that the publishers earn their bread from selling books . But many of us dont have money. At least I have no money at all since I'm visually disabled and I live with my family. So it is a disappointment.
I like Saint Paisios very much. His teachings are unique. But too expensive to buy those books … you uploaded one of his teachings. I hope there will be more of his teachings by you. Thank you for your efforts
So sorry to hear this news, but God will surely bring good from this. Would like to know more about Tunis, and the miraculous icon, if at all possible. My wife's late aunty went to Tinos. in the early 1990's. and she and her English husband were both very touched by the experience.
May God truly bless you for all that you have achieved and will no doubt go on to achieve, for God, for Christ. Thank you

Thanks so much for what you've done and your determination to continue! Your recordings have been very helpful to me and you always choose very well. Personally I enjoy listening to narrative works like the lives of the saints that you've recorded. I also think commentaries on scripture like Saint John Chrysostom's work very well as audio (although these would take a long time to record.) I'm sure that whatever you choose next will be great, thanks again for this channel!
Thank you so much. Literally every morning i get up before work or family gets up to take a walk and have your morning prayers playing.
Oh God bless your heart!!! You in your humility and public correction of how I should be asking for a blessing in everything that I feel is good work for sharing the Love of God and life of Saints is by far the exact acting willingness to give yourself to God and his people. I am so forever grateful I have led a long life in the most sinful and foulest path of life from age of 12 till 40…may God have mercy on me…yet his Love has drawn me to Orthodoxy and Love ….in self examination which began in Drug rehabilitation 4 years ago this exact tendency has interfered and continues in me…did I ask for a blessing. With the highest of good intentions not pan out because i forgot to ask. Oh dear Brother in Christ you have strengthened me and brought me back to where I need to be. I thank God for you and all that you do which has helped me tremendously. I love hearing the Akathist of all the Saints… the simplicity of the heart for all listeners especially ones who are seeking and are becoming increasingly drawn to Orthodoxy for there Love of Christ helps me alot personally. The Philokallia and Ladder of divine ascent things like that are way to advanced for me without having a Spiritual Father yet. I listened to them and read some of them and was not ready for them caused me all kinds of dillusions and confusion. I pray that the Good and awesome Lord keep you in my heart and life by guiding you to continue to do His will and help us to do the same with Joy and happiness!! God bless you a d thank you!!!!
Thank you! Here are some suggestions/requests: Ladder of Divine Ascent, Homilies of Saint Macarius, Homilies of Saint Isaac the Syrian, Letters of Saint Anthony the Great, Wounded by Love- by Elder Porphyrios, Lives of the saints. Thank you!
1. Read the daily scripture, then supplement each verse with indepth commentary from the Holy Fathers and Saints.
2. Read Father Spyridon's book "Orthodoxy and the Kingdom of Satan".
Holy fathers, starting with apostolic father's would be very beneficial and open domain. Thank you for your work.
Hello Tim, here are some suggestions
1:
As far as know, the prologue of ohrid is publicly available, there are multiple websites where you can follow it. The only thing is the readings are quite short

I own the book for about a year, and it has benifited me so much!

There is also a book called ‘The way of the ascetics’ available to download /read for free here
https://stjohndc.org/en/orthodoxy-foundation/way-of-ascetics-tito-colliander#contents
So I assume it’s also “public domain”

Perhaps You could also read articles from websites? I think as long as you put a link in the description its fine

Thank you for everything you do🙏
Thank you for this! How wonderful to meet you. Your voice and the words of the fathers have been uplifting and fortifying. I'm grateful to be able to see you.
Yes Saint Herman Press could you start publishing the Catacomb Saints of Russia again , also its disappointing this Channel had to take down the audio of Elder Thaddeus his words of wisdom helps many who cannot buy your books or read . The more people who hear and benefit from his sayings the more Christ is Glorified.
I'll continue to be an avid listener. God Bless brother
Thank you for your wonderful work. Im deeply disappointed your Elder Thaddeus book was taken down. It helped my soul so much. I loved the way you read it prayerfully and gently. May God and his mercy bring that beautiful recording back
You might consider familiarizing yourself with the copyright laws. They protect books, which are property, from theft. Monasteries and seminaries support themselves through their bookstores. Please respect that. Churches must purchase books and even musical scores and sheet music. I am not sure what the blessing is that you are looking for, but many YouTube channels have this problem and it is a legal one.
You did the right thing Brother, it is hard to accept – but this is how sacrificing our ego works.
God bless!
Please keep the copy of your recording – some decisions may be made later which will bless you to continue in God's work.
God Bless and protect you brother! This is a fantastic channel! Thank you. Christ is Risen!!!!!!
Tim, here's a request – would ypu please read St Andrew of Caesarea's commentary on the Apocalypse? The Elias Gough yt channel has it, but it is hard to follow because he plays chants simultaneously.
Suggestion:
The Lives of Sts. Cyprian and Justina
From The Orthodox Word, Vol. 12, No. 5 (70) (September-October, 1976), pp. 135-142, 167-176.
This is a link from the orthodoxinfo.com
http://orthodoxinfo.com/death/cyprian_justina.aspx
The lives of Sts. Cyprian and Justina are a beautiful example of fervent prayer, hope and the power of Christ Holy name. I might be bias since St. Justina is my patron saint. However, I know whoever reads this inspiring story of true fervent prayer for another human being will surely see that even someone who has fallen literally to the pits of Hell can be saved to the point of becoming a saint. May Sts. Cyprian and Justina intercede to the Lord God for the salvation of our souls! ☦️
If you're still open to suggestions, I'd love to see a recording of Asser's "Life of Alfred". It's in the public domain and there's even a recording on LibriVox, but there are issues with the volume and quality.
The text can be found on Project Gutenburg: https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/63384
One I'm reading now is Eusebius' "Life of Constantine". It isn't on Gutenburg but it should be in the public domain, as far as I know, and there's no recording of it yet.

Either way, I'm really enjoying your previous recordings, so thank you for your work so far!
Thank you for your channel. Have you considered recording the writings of Elder Aimilianos?
Would you please record Canon of the Guardian Angles? Thank you!
Holy Trinity Monastery (Jordanville) publications such as "The Sunflower" would be amazing.
Dear brother Timothy, first let me thank you for this channel and all you work. I enjoy listening to your voice, and I am generally not a fan of audio books.
As for the message you shared here, I am surprised and saddened by it. I would understand "St. Herman's" attitude if you were recording the whole books, or if you were doing this commercially, but given the nature of your channel (free of charge, purely educational) and the fact you were recording a chapter from books, this absolutely makes no sense.
Even secular institution recognize this as a clear case of Fair Use (e.g. https://www.lib.uchicago.edu/copyrightinfo/fairuse.html )
I am very saddened by that stance from Platina Fathers – it just feels so not Orthodox. I can't imagine Fr. Seraphim having any similar attitude at all. On the opposite, I imagine him being thrilled that Orthodox people are interested and sharing/discussing these topics.
But I guess it is what it is. As you said it – we should accept this humbly as part of our Lord's benevolent providence (most likely not His Will, but allowance only).
Greetings from Boston! God bless you, brother. ☦
your obedience is encouraging
