Seraphim explains that death entered the world through Adam’s sin, the first human, and spread to the entire cosmos. Since death entered the cosmos through Adam (Romans 5:12), as the Spirit-inspired Fathers teach, evolution is not a compatible explanation of history as it depends on death to further the change of creatures.
