This is the first episode from my interview with Abbot Tryphon, abbot of All-Merciful Saviour Monastery on Vashon Island, Washington state. In addition to his work as a monastic superior, Abbot Tryphon is a prolific podcaster, blogger, and speaker.
In this episode, Abbot #Tryphon discusses the importance of honoring and praying for our #elders, for one another, and for our neighbor.

Thank you Abbot Tryphon!
I think that's harder for someone who comes from an honor-shame culture not to be conscious about how he is reflecting on the larger group or viewed within the group. Traditionally in the South we have an honor-shame culture and we are concerned about how our words and actions reflect on our extended family and whether we are fulfilling family's expectations. It's hard to think about just being myself.
I needed to hear this today. Thank you 🙏
Thank you for hight quality content. Please make another interview with abbot Tryphon!
Loving the interruption at the end.
