Father, your timing for speaking this has helped me. My family and I are waiting out a wildfire in California. In a safe location. But I have been having a hard time, because the last Orthodox church I belonged to was all theology and history, no love. I wasn't getting fed. I'm sitting in the dark, trying to pray, but now wondering if God is just cruel. Then this video came on.

Father Phillip..question. Have you ever had a fall out with God…saying Why?? Me?..when you give your world to him and money and soul..and people just take advantage of you and get more evil than ever…I don't want the devil to win..but sometimes the world looks that way..makes me mad…my mother always told me not to question our Lord and God..it's just the way it is…always do right no matter what..because God is watching with his extraordinary eyes and he sees everything..I have the fear of God..so I listen and obey..but I'm human and self indulge with life..temptation is in everyones life..and we all need to be fed in different ways…my struggle continues to God our Lord..forgive me.
