Fr Seraphim and Fr Herman taught this course in the 70′s at the Platina monastery. Fr Herman continued to teach it until 1998 and Fr Damascene Christensen traveled the world presenting it to various groups. As a result many were converted to Orthodoxy.

Excited to see that you’re tackling this series next. I’ve listened to parts of the course before but the audio quality is poor on the other uploads I’ve found.
God bless. Keep up the good work. It’s much appreciated.
Thanks for this. Fr. Seraphim Rose was prophetic. He may be one day recognized as a saint. I'm going to St Herman of Alaska Monastery in Platina next week.
Absolutely based. Thank you for doing this
God bless !
Begome Ordodogs :-DDDDDD
Thank you so much for doing these I hate listening to the computer robot voice
7:30 he basically describes Jay Dyer followers (not all of his fans are followers)
You did an excellent job on this…perfect pacing, great sound quality, wonderfully articulated…I couldn't be happier and I'm really looking forward to this series
my new favorite channel
Fr Kevin Allen on Spreaker did a series on this book, was pretty good. It was more of a lecture type overview with some good insights.
Thank you for doing this! I paint icons and good stuff like this to listen to while painting helps so much!
this was great, im fairly new to orthodoxy and find Fr. Seraphim Rose very helpful
How is roman catholicism a sect as opposed to the orthodox church, which itself has split into numerous national churches, and which in turn are not all currently in communion?
How do you redeem church disputes without the ability to declare canonical ecumenical councils that the prescence of a central patriarch has, or without splitting further?
I understand your rejection of the papacy as it stands. I understand your arguments agains the filioque and for the ordination of married priests.
I get that roman catholicism has fallen far, and I respect the spirit of the orthodox church, although I have yet to recieve satisfactory answers to these questions.
Wow no more robot.
29:30 "When a Catholic can get better along with a Lutheran than with an Orthodox…" is often a sad state of our current world but not an essential truth. Groups that hold tight to the Roman Catholic tradition (SSPX, FSSP etc), are in full communion with Rome and definitely get better along with Orthodox than with Protestants (Bishop Athanasius Schneider in Khazakstan could be a current good example).
The Catholics that seek common ground with Protestants are very often poorly catechized as a consequence of the bad state of the West or seek temporary alliances during political issues against a secular society/state. It is not an inherent or natural part of Catholicism.
The existence of non-Roman Eastern Catholic Churches, (Byzantine, Alexandrian, Syriac rites etc), that however remain in full communion with Rome further emphasizes the point of closer commonality between Catholics and Orthodox.
My cult is the right cult!
God bless you, for doing this brother. An astonishing work.
Good work brother. May I share this series on my podcast? i do not make any income from it and can add the link to your youtube page. I will abide by your response. PS

I just came across your channel this evening, and am amazed and thankful for this good work that you are doing. God bless you and magnify your labors and their impact!
Transcripts of some of these audio tapes are recently available on http://www.orthodoxriver.org.
I grew up non-denominational. I attended those type of mega churches that seemed more like rock concerts than they did places of worship. I have begun to realize that version of Christianity is lacking. It's inauthentic, and clearly not the Christianity practiced by the Apostles and Church Fathers. I'm currently torn between Traditional Catholicism and Orthodoxy, but for some reason, I feel more of a connection to Orthodoxy than I do Traditional Catholicism. Hopefully this series will help me find the way.
Thank you for reading this. Before all I could find was a computer voice which was hard to understand.
thank you for the read. God may enlight our path
Thank you so much for doing this. Are there more lecture series of Father Seraphim Rose's that will be coming this year?
Thanks for making this excellent presentation. God bless you!!! The chant at the begging is so beautiful, it is Tone 6 special melody "On The Third Day" I believe it is the Beatitudes. Would you by chance be able to direct me to the original recording of this? It is absolutely haunting and absolute praise. God Keep you! Love in Christ.
These are so good, Thank you …
Thank you!
