that's easy question to answer – stop being douche-bags! You have no idea how many people left christianity because most outspoken christians on tv, in church, or wherever were simply BAD PEOPLE. And I'm speaking from experience, living in mostly roman catholic Poland christianity is hijacked by right wing fundamentalists, used in political battle and most of the time used as a weapon to bash everybody who disagree with their politics. "catholic" journalists literally beat people with christianity, and I'm not talking about ideas, sins, etc. They use it against certain people they don't like. This is what happens in europe everywhere, not only here.
People see it, compare to Sayings of Desert Fathers and just want to puke their guts out from disgust.
There is no better evangelization tool than being a good, charitable man. No amount of preaching can compare to one good deed did to someone who is searching, or is confused.
Watched this video many years ago, and this was when I knew I had to learn about the Orthodox Faith. I have been baptised in 2018!
