I had a near death experience and I understand exactly what you're talking about. When my body died during my experience, I remember my soul didn't want anything else of this world but my soul only longing for God, my creator. It's like a drug addict that didn't remember anything else but only longing for the drug.
Father Spyridon, thank you for these videos, helping many. I've just bought your book, as have been aware of much of what you state; unfortunately, I left Orthodoxy years ago and followed many new age rubbish. I thankfully, am returning to Orthodox beliefs. So many things to fool us in this world, so many things that entice us.
That's my biggest fear loosing my soul iv only changed my ways 10 years ago but even when I confers I don't feel pure iv became lazy due to my health issues I prey daily the fogivenes prey but I just feel I'm not ready to face my creater
Your so right father I just received a six figure sum for a compansation I paid my house of through hard work but I'm not excited it would have been nice to Mary but we missed the boat my mind does wonder to the flesh that's because I'm lazy to get up coz I stay up all night listening to the radio but your so right your a blessing in disguise for people like my self not to loose hope I know now nothing can or can't be done without gods blesing
