If you have saints that have 'of Place' after their name, you can make them sound like some dangerous Wild West characters if you use Place Name format, for example Damascus John.
What do you think about having to prove God’s existence (like atheists want)? Apart from historical evidence for the bible there isn’t too much cold hard evidence. I don’t see this as much of a problem but atheists sure do. What do you think Bojan?
I'm sorry I missed this video a bit late because of family, but thank you again for another wondrous video. St. John of Damascus is one of my favorites, may he pray for us all and his native Syria!
If possible, I would like to remind you about doing an episode on finding a proper spouse as an Orthodox Christian, especially in our depraved modern age of the internet.
Also random question: It turns out the Chinese scientist who tested genetic editing on two female fetuses was real, he was detained though and the girls were born healthy. Should we be anxious about the future now? That and I read an article too about government trying to make robots that can think like insects consciously…. I am scared of the times coming 🙁
Happy end!
please a video on st. seraphim of sarov and/or st. john of shanghai ! ❤️
I really value this channel.
It is worth noting that many of the hymns he composed made their way into the non-Chalcedonian Churches of Egypt and Syria
Did he speak or write in Arabic at all? I’m assuming he did at some point, right? Interesting to note that he was of ethnic Syriac, rather than Greco-Byzantine, descent despite his Chalcedonian theology.
Q/A: Can the Devil, assuming he has free will in the first place, ever join God again? It can sometimes be so difficult for people on Earth to join God so shouldn't God's existence be even more obvious to demons?
Im proud that im from damascus ✌🏻🇸🇾☦️✝️❤️🌠
Стављај роде титлове на србском.
I say that number 7, very subtle additions, well done 👏👏👏
I know little about Saints, but if I have to learn about them, this channel is my favorite place to do so.
The icon of the Virgin of the Three Hands was presented by St. John's monastery to the archbishop of Serbia, Sava. When Serbia was invaded by the Turks, they sent the icon to Mount Athos on a donkey. The donkey stopped on the Serbian monastery there.
When the Serbian monks can't decide who their (I guess) abbot should be, Our Lady decided she's the one for the job. So now, an icon of the Holy Mother of God with three hands is the abbess of one of the monasteries of Mount Athos.
There, I spoiled the plot of a potential Bible Illustrated video. You're welcome.
(So I guess there is one exception to the "no women allowed in Mount Athos" rule, huh)
I'd love to see you do a video on Saint Herman of Alaska at some point, he's one of my favorite Orthodox Saints 🙂
He is also venerated in Catholic Churches☦❤
Is this the same as St. John Damascene?
Saint Mary = #1 Mom
I mean, her stitching up St. John and being like: "HOLD! STILL!" and "Jesus was no better…" or all angry-mom-pose scolding the elder…
Can you do a video on St Nicholas?
Why are you so amazing
2:41 "that's racist you can't say that"
I'm a Catholic, and by the grace of God (or the YouTube algorithm) I found your channel. I fell away from the faith for many years, only (again, by the grace of God) to painstakingly realize the error of my ways and accept it once again, so I'd never leave the Catholic Church, even with all the craziness and scandal that currently engulfs it. However, if I had been born in any Christian tradition, I would choose Orthodoxy and specifically Serbian Orthodoxy, as I have the most experience with this variant through an Orthodox friend of mine. Thank you for your beautifully illustrated and well-made videos!
Just found this, Bojan, you might like it:https://youtu.be/HnCPQsjl1k4?t=8
Great video. Good to see one again, and a large one at that. Very informative and inspiring. Hope to see more like it soon. Horray on the nearly 20,000 subscribers, you deserve more. Happy New Year to you all.
The first time I heard about him are when I read Critics of Islam
Honestly I love all the side illustrations. Some of them make me laugh way to hard. Like the Video on my patron Saint Spyridon, the little blurbs for the Nicea I Council.
Can you do one on Saint Joseph the Spouse of Mary and father of Christ.
Don't mess with mama Mary.
I know I’m not the only one who came for the grinch bishop
It is because of this video that I came to love St. John Damascene, and took him as my patron saint when I got baptized <3
