4. The Russian Orthodox missionaries in Alaska may have been hard times to deal with problems of the Alaskan Natives kind a like the Spanish Roman Catholic missionaries with the American Natives here in California.

PETER THE ALEUT our Russian-Alaskan Orthodox Christian became a MARTYR OF SAN FRANCISCO back in 1815 by those Goddamn Spaniards and their Catholic missionaries, PETER reused to renounce his Orthodox faith and died by execution, his eyewitness and good friend had escaped San Francisco and went back to FORT ROSS to tell the story. When ST. HERMAN heard the news about this tragedy he said "HOLY NEW MARTYR, PETER, PRAY TO GOD FOR US!" It is a sad controversial story and I want to believe this story for real. I know that PETER does exist here in California, but his remains are lost and hard to find. Let us hope PETER did exist here and he will remain with us for both Orthodox and non-Orthodox Christians, forever.

6. I am very grateful for this video. I humbly request as many of these kinds of videos as possible. I work 2 jobs and have 6 kids and 2 grandkids. One of my jobs is as a janitor. I do not have time to do much reading at all. I'm doing well to do my daily Bible readings and listen to my prayers morning and night most days. These kinds of videos are a blessing because I can listen to them on my phone with headphones while I do my work as a janitor. Thank you. Glory to God for all things. Amen.

9. I actually recently acquired a vial of the soil from the grave of St. Herman of Alaska, thanks to my parish! May he watch over and guide me, the rest of American Orthodox Christians, and all people who love God. Amen.

10. Thank you for this wonderful video. I just found St. Herman tonight but have been listening to chants from Vaalam Monastery for a few years. Loving Russian culture, the saints, and monastic life, finding out about St. Herman is a gift from God. My granddaughter Sophia was born in Alaska last year. Finding a saint of Alaska means even more. Thanks be to God.
