In order to study the bible what you need – the said answer was "the Bible" but the best answer truth is the "Willingness" that you can still study the Bible without a bible.
Brother you’re on the right tract in Galatians, but in order to have a better/complete understanding of Galatians we need to know what is it’s theme! St.Paul wrote this letter that they were in immanent danger of being corrupted by Jewish legalism. He was warning the church at Galatia that there were Jews (proselytes to Christianity) who were telling the Galatian Gentiles that features of the Old Testament were still in force. They argued that the Jews were still the chosen people of God, that there were both present and future Jewish features to the Kingdom of God, and that the Christians were obliged to undergo circumcision, observe certain Old Testament feast days, and acknowledge Jewish impact and primacy in the Kingdom of God. To combat this blatant, non-Christian, unbiblical heresy, the Apostle Paul sets down his clearest, most unassailable letter of the New Testament-New Covenant, Covenant of Promise-doctrine and theology.
