Fr. Arsenie Papacioc talks about humility as a precondition of salvation. He suffered while imprisoned for his Christian faith under the atheist (communist) regime in Romania. He is arrested in 1958 and sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment for “having plotted against the social order”. Thus, he passes through the prisons of Braşov, Aiud and Jilava and he is released in 1964.
Fr. Arsenie:
He asked me if I will be saved.
I answered immediately: “No, Father! It is easy to say I will be saved… but I will not be easily saved.”
Why? The condition for me to be saved is that the grace of God comes… And grace comes only if someone is humble… Am I humble?
Can I say that I am a humble person? Because one never knows that he or she is humble… if you see yourself humble than you are not… To stay always in your place… to never give up…
It is possible, it is possible… if we are in this continuous feeling of God’s presence…
Of course, Canon 113 of the Council of Carthage (A.D. 419) says: “the one who says that he can even without grace to fulfill the divine commandments, let him be anathema”.
You see, this is the first thing we have to do: to always be in a continuous relationship with God…
If the Holy Spirit is in you and you walk with Jesus daily then you are in a continuous walk with Him, living for Him. A new birth a new you living for Christ. You will know when Christ lives in you because you will be a completely changed person in Him.
I'm Protestant but love seeing your videos

Multumesc Doamne că am avem sfinți părinți care ne vorbesc cuvantul Tău.
As the elder has stated we need to be in a CONSTANT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
I met his hoiiness. A true man of God.
Bible clearly teaches, “what a man says in his heart, so he is.” We automatically know whether or not we are SHIT people.
No translation in English ??? 🤷🏽♂️

🤔 I think I understand him now. He is saying you can only receive grace when you are humbled. But hardly you are humble when you say you are. For humility is not an arrived state. It is constantly "seeing" the way how God sees you; a daily thing. I call it a self-righteous trick of the mind to believe you have arrived or you are righteous.. And you can not be saved if you do not have the "grace" to perform the commandments of Christ. You are anethema, a curse. You must constantly receive grace. Therefore there is the need to always mistrust self, pray, and reject ideas of self to be or stay humble. The Christian's walk with God is a relationship.
harder than you think! so many distractions , so.much it seems to do.
we must consolidate, and sift through and find that which really matters. Simplify things focus on what is important and not waste
our time .
Seek first the kingdom….
These little videos are so helpful they are a joy
